So I picked Kou. I thought I was gonna pick Dai, but the way the Kou sprite looks at you made me blush fr. I absolutely love the dynamic between the MC and Kou. It's refreshing to see the power balance tip back and forth, which is something I don't see too often in in BL. Having Kou actually be a competent secretary makes the moments when he discards professionalism have even more of an impact. Great writing, Bravo.

im genuinely having so much fun with this. The moment i saw Kou i dropped dead. i also really like the scenario of being a CEO and having the power.

but i did run into some sort of wall, may be just needing to be updated but after i accept the drink from kou (GYATT DAMN I LOVE THAT DUDE) it just brings me to the error page and wont let me continue. im not really sure what it actually means because im no computer person but i'll wait a few months then come back.

I love this game so much! It is so refreshing to play as someone with power and status. I can't wait for the update! I really hope this game will continue developing. 
My favorite so far is Dai. I really like chemistry between him and mc.Hope to see more about him. And his little gap teeth. So cute

I am not good at complimenting or commentingg but I really love this game! I switch between the sprites every route, haha xD

Though I'd like to report a bug in the middle of the interview? Regarding Nucius sprite art. Not sure if you are already aware of it, if so, my apologies.

I love the demo! Momo's so cute his route fits him well, and I absolutely loved Dai's as well. I can say there is a wording error in Dai's route though. At the end of his demo route I think it was suppose to say walk instead of work, other than that it seems perfect to me! I can't wait for the full game!!

Oh I was having so much fun but ran into a compiling error in Kou's route upon drinking the alcohol! I hope it can be fixed, but even still I really really like this game. The CEO is delightfully bratty and it's so fun seeing him messed with by Kou and Daisuke. I hope you take care of yourself and consider continuing the story!!

I enjoyed playing this game so much I literally can't wait for the full version. I love all of them; I didn't trust Kou at first (he seemed too perfect and even his appearance is a bit... intimidating?) but his route left me speechless. :D The scene on the rooftop with Daisuke made me smile so hard: I didn't expect such a thing from him. About Momo, well, I liked him from the start; even though he made some mistakes I understood how he felt. But in the end he's actually really smart. Any update? I hope you're all doing well and that the realization of this game doesn't take too much time of your social lives :)

wow. like, wow. this game is just .  ???!! i love it so much .

the music is nice, the art is literally the best, the story seems very interesting and promising. i specially like how the plot change depending on the character you choose ( even if it does have the same "base" ), and how it is very different from how you expect the game and the characters to be.

it already looks wonderful, even tho it is only a demo !! can't wait for the full game.

Hello! there seems to be a problem when opening the zip file. I'm on mac & whenever I try it says that it's in an unsupported format

hello! i'm ari, the cg artist! thanks for bringing this to our attention! i also use a mac and i just tested the download. when you download the [MAC] version, it shouldn't be a ZIP file. it should automatically download the application. in your download folder, you should find an application titled "HelloBoss".

please let me know if you're still having trouble! i'll try to help as best i can!

Ah! ok thank you I tried downloading again but the same result came up. there's also a zip.part that shows up? I don't have any applications to open that tho. also I do have a previous version on my computer maybe that has something to do with it?

oh! ok! so i downloaded from a safari browser last time, but this time i downloaded from chrome and got a ZIP file. i was able to open the ZIP file with the Archive Utility app.

sometimes a window pops up that says, "cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified." but if that happens, i go into my System Preferences > Security & Privacy and hit the "Open Anyway" button. i'm able to access the game that way.

try deleting the previous version and let me know if that works though!

I don't see the game to download but from what I've played on the first trial, Daisuke is my favorite. All the artwork and the storyline are amazing!! As the game progress, I plan on playing all the routes and see which one is the best. I don't think you need to change anything on the game so far it's great the way it is. Great job on this project can't wait to see more of it!!

I think that Daisuke is my favorite, but I like Kou as well, they both have an interesting personality that makes me want to get to know them better and in the context of the story it makes sense to choose either of them to be my secretary. Now, I like Momotarou because he’s petite and cute, but I think the only reason why I would choose him is because I feel bad for him and because I want to play every route of the game, maybe I’m overthinking it but I wanted to mention it.

I like the art and the writing is fine, Kazuo’s exposition at the beginning of the story is a bit strange but I have read worse things. I like that I can choose the Kazou’s name, I feel like that allows me to connect a bit more with him and I also like the inclusion of the rollback button.

I just finished playing the Demo and I liked it a lot, I’m looking forward to see what else happens.

1) Who's your favorite character so far and why?

Daisuke. I have a weakness for the seemingly fun and carefree characters.

2) How's the pacing and writing? 

It was good but it seemed like Kazuo's introduction had a lot more monologue than I would've liked. 

3) What aspects of the game do you like?

The love interests seem like they have a personality and backstory that we can explore.

4)  How is the UI?  What did you like about it? What did you not like about it?

I liked that you used icons instead of words but I wish there was a log to see the script. Also, the options for perferences should all be on one screen, not multiple. When I choose to go to settings when playing the game, I shouldn't have to wait for the screen to transition through sliding either.

5)  How is the hook for the story? Did it made you play until the end? If it didn’t, what made you stop?

The hook was good enought to play to the end, but I felt tedious to go through all the monologue for Kazuo and the questions for Daisuke and Kou.This could just be me though.

6) How is the music for the demo so far? Does it match the vibe of the game? Is it distracting?

The first soundtrack played when Kazuo is first introduced in his bed reminded me of the Simpsons opening. It was smooth and sauve but the saxaphone was kinda giving me a different vibe.

7) What other improvements can we make to enhance your experience?

Add a log to your textbox so we can see the script. Sometimes I missed what a person just said. Please allow us to save when choosing options too. Make all the options for perferences be on one screen. Transition to the perferences screen from playing the game instantly, not though sliding.

Thank you for your review! We're trying to improve the GUI. As you said, the preferences need work (as most of the GUI haha) . We do need to add more features in the future. Like the log.

We'll try to tone down the monologue, and improve a bit of the writing ^_^.

1) Who's your favorite character so far and why?

I love Kou! It was hard to choose between the two but I loved his design and personality. At first, I thought he would be a bit intimidating and mean but the “which animal would you be” question made me think of him differently.

The pacing is great! And the writing is good too, I like how the MC’s personality changes with each character.

3) What aspects of the game do you like?

The character design is my favourite part of it. I love how Kou has scars, I think that’s a really interesting part of the character and makes the player think about why he has those. Daisuke was just cute all around! His tooth gap really added to him.

4)  How is the UI?  What did you like about it? What did you not like about it?

I love how easy I could understand what’s what. But sometimes I found myself wanting to go back and read something because I didn’t understand it correctly and I didn’t know how. Overall I had no problems!

5)  How is the hook for the story? Did it make you play until the end? If it didn’t, what made you stop?

It was very interesting. I played through the end and enjoyed interviewing both of the characters to hear their reasoning for applying. 

6) How is the music for the demo so far? Does it match the vibe of the game? Is it distracting?

The music blends nicely with the whole office vibe, I didn’t get to listen to the whole soundtrack because I usually play games without audio, but so far so good.

7) What other improvements can we make to enhance your experience?

I think having a “go back” option would be nice, I find myself reading things, clicking to the next screen, and realizing I didn’t understand anything. I can’t wait for the full game!

Answers to Ver 1.1:

  1. Kazuo. I get attached to the player character first if there isn't an immediate dealbreaker. Also, I sympathize with the pressure of...work.
  2. Pacing and writing was good by getting to the point with sufficient context. This is already quite well-proofed! I only noticed two typos.
  3. Strong visuals, knowledgeable handling and consistency with the Japanese setting, and the premise of you being the CEO hiring your own secretary.
  4. I appreciate the 3:2 aspect ratio and how the UI is good on the eyes (meaning it looks good and I have no problems reading the text)! I felt the Preferences didn't need to be split into its own menu. There's room enough on the screen to have them all laid out, I feel. The sliding animations for the main menu ran on the slow side for me.
  5. Liked it! I played to the end of the demo.
  6. I think it matches the vibe, but someone else could feel it errs on too upbeat since by all indications it's a Stuffy Corporate Atmosphere.
  7. Taking screenshots was messy--I hit an error screen when I hit "S" and it seems an asset for the screenshot notification was missing.

Regarding the preferences screen, we've redone it so that all the preferences are on one screen instead of split up into several! It'll be present in the Extended Demo! As for the sliding animations, I'll look into speeding them up more or changing it.

We'll keep the "stuffy corporate atmosphere" in mind when we're selecting future tracks for the soundtrack!
